Faolain reached forward to accept the greeting Shararat offered, their whiskers brushing briefly. She smiled at the pleasant voice that followed, and the nostalgic words; though Faolain was newer to this place than Shararat, she was equally as appreciative of the land and its breathtaking views. ”Not at all,” she responded, her tone smooth and welcoming. ”I’ve done my best to explore and appreciate the views since I’ve been here, but they never get old.”

She cast her dark amber gaze up the steep, densely wooded incline. The cliffs were intimidating, to be sure, and Faolain had not yet had the time to try and scale them herself, but she had spent many sunrises and sunsets looking out over the tops of them. It was an excellent place to meditate. The breeze was cool and soothing, and the open air gave Faolain a sense of freedom she thought was reserved for creatures that fly. The drop into open air, the wind pushing chilly fingers through her mane, was enough to imagine life as a bird. If she was deep enough into her meditation, she might believe she were not earthbound, at least for a few wonderful moments.

”I’ve never attempted to climb the cliffs, at least not the difficult way,” she said with a chuckle. ”I did look up at them when I first arrived here. It’s an impressive sight to behold. I can’t imagine what games you might have played without managing to fall.” She tilted her head with cat-like curiosity. ”I don’t suppose you’ve come from Paradise now, if you’re here for nostalgia’s sake,” she said, her tone questioning. ”I don’t mean to pry; just curious.”
