For her first foray into the world thing seemed to be going particularly well for the young mare, she had been warned of the darkness that lay outside the confines of her home and yet surely they had all been exaggerated. The kind stranger who was quickly losing the rights to such a title seemed only to solidify the notion in her mind. The world could not be so dark a place, not when the stars still shone despite the late hour. There was always light if one looked for it. She is nervous, a feeling due entirely to her inexperience in the world and such things and yet she finds herself eased by the soft welcome and candid smile Rivaini offered her. The Islands, she rolled the moniker over in her mind as the silvery woman finished her greeting. That meant there must be more of them, so much to explore and learn and the white-splashed woman yearned for nothing more than to drink it all in. “Thank you, Rivaini.” She tests her new friends name on her pale lips, the words soft in the night before going on to explain about the Naming she had been reciting on her arrival.

As her own gaze turns heavenly she glimpsed the other mare doing likewise from her peripheral, and the reverent tone she speaks with in regards to those celestial wanderings is mirrored in Rivaini’s reply. So moving are those near poetic words that Zarya’s crystalline eyes cannot help but be pulled back to regard her companions face. The air seemed heavy around them as the Andalusian’s own gaze fell back towards earth and herself in turn, some charge filling the atmosphere as she extended her dark nose to rest on her white-splattered wither. Her bluish skin danced slightly under the velveteen touch, the first time she had felt such from anyone she was not related to, and a mix of curiosity and amazement danced in her azure eyes. The meaning behind that embrace seemed to transcend words as her bald face turns towards Rivaini and she touches the graceful arch of her tawny neck hesitantly, almost curiously. “Open spaces are the only place I feel I can breathe.”

Those lilted words whisper like a secret into the confessional that was the other mare’s coat, breathing in the scent of jungle and salt there until her next question breaks the spell. The pair pull apart, a shared moment under the cloak of night which allowed such things. Her delicate features regard the slight taller woman as she relies, patiently waiting for her to finish despite the heavy pause between her thoughts. A smile is quick to take hold of her elegant face as she finishes, sheer joy apparent to have made such an impact on her new friend. “We always yearn for the familiar, its comforting yet change is the only way we can grow yes?” Her eyes crinkle slightly at the words, it was a form of the mantra which had driven her to journey from the only place she had ever known into a foreign world. “But the stars are a great constant, no matter where we go they are always there.” She felt such a safety under their watchful gaze, yet she was finding it to be but a shadow of what friendship she felt blossoming beneath their presence tonight. Stars had never touched her as Rivaini had. "Tell me about Atlantis?"
