live life to the fullest

She didn't mind admitting her fears to Aponi. In a way, she hoped if she reached out to the right horse, someone would eventually be able to help her through it. She hated feeling so trapped on one island, especially knowing handsome stallions like Roheryn wanted to show her his home that he seemed so proud of. And she found that she wanted to see it, too. Aponi assured her she'd never met someone afraid of the water before then asked if there was a certain reason why. Creed shook her head as Aponi asked if something happened to her when she was younger. She ducked her head, still feeling embarrassed about it. "I was never around deep water growing up. We had streams and creeks and stuff but never anything really big like the ocean. I guess you could say it's more fear of the unknown. The first swim with Persephone, the waves threatened to take me under and the dark water terrified me. I couldn't see my own legs and it made me create all kinds of angry sea monsters in my head that would try to pull me under."

She felt foolish, admitting all this, but knew Aponi couldn't help her if she didn't explain fully. "Since then, I've gone in the water knee deep, but when I get to where I can't see my own hooves, I panic." She glanced toward Roheryn sheepishly. She felt like she should be apologizing for her stupid fear. She felt like such an inconvenience and sometimes she didn't understand why he kept coming back to see her. She wasn't worth it. The pale stallion was quiet through most of the conversation, giving her and Aponi time to talk it through as he smiled and listened. He was such a gentleman. Creed didn't know what she ever did to deserve his attentions. Surely he had plenty of pretty mares vying for it at home. When she felt the stallion step closer, Creed looked toward him curiously. His nose reached out to nuzzle her and she smiled, leaning into the touch before her ears pricked to hear his words. He said he thought about her a lot and she inhaled, her eyes widening in surprise. He admitted he wanted to see her every day and she felt her heart melting. At the end, he said he really liked her and she felt like her heart was going to beat right out of her chest.

Why was he so dreamy?! She'd never thought she would have a stallion's attention like this. "I....really like you, too, Roheryn. You are never far from my thoughts." She whispered the words breathlessly, feeling she needed to get them out so he knew she felt the same but at the same time, she was still dumbfounded from what he told her. He turned then to Aponi and said he hoped they became friends and looked after each other. Creed's smile turned whistful, cause she knew what that meant. He had to leave. She already ached to see him again, but knew he had responsibilities to get back to. He confirmed as much a moment later, saying he had to get back but he hoped to see them both soon. Creed all but swooned at the attention he bestowed on Aponi as well. He was just so sweet and caring. She watched him as he moved toward the beach, a wistful sigh leaving her black lips as he disappeared into the surf.
