Sakhmet
..mare..five..arabian..grey..15.1 hh..

Sakhmet dares not look back as a voice she had not expected calls out to her. Her hooves do not take pause at first, continuing to walk until she feels as if she is strangled. Stopping, the grey mare stares straight ahead as Eness draws near. My heart; the words make her delicate ears pin beneath her inky mane, and as her beloved reaches for her, Sakhmet steps to the side to stay just out of reach. Eness’ words of being broken from her being gone cause the anger mare to grit her teeth in further fury, but she has yet to make a sound.

“Do not utter his name to me.” she finally hisses out, moving further from Eness’ touch. Tail snapping from one flank to the other, she finally tilts her head so that she could look upon the dark mistress with two toned eyes. The fierce, unmoving pain and anger is clear in that moment despite the steely mask she has placed over the emotions of her face. “You are no longer in the position to call me such things, nor make claims. I know you have given up such freedoms. It is also much more than flesh I would seek from him, so do not ask me again.”

Sakhmet jerked her head away, pointedly turning it from Eness. “Do not fear, Eness. My loyalty runs deep. I will not leave, and will continue to be the guardian I have always been. Even if that is no longer my responsibility.” Having already refused touch, Sakhmet steps away from Eness and continues her walk. She can’t quite remember what she was doing…. Right, patrolling. She swallowed down her emotions, locking away her pain, and focused on something other than Eness which was putting one hoof in front of the other.
