Home. The word sent a fluttering feeling inside her that reminded her of butterfly wings. Lace wondered, for a brief moment, if this could possibly be her home? Could she live up to the standards it took to weather the climates this place might give? The spotted mare was shook from her thoughts as Letavice moved closer, all too aware of the warmth he put off before he was lipping at her mane. She was glad he didn’t wait for a reply, whisking off before she embarrassed herself with a stuttering reply.


Despite how she fought it, a giddy little smile and giggle escaped her before she took off after him. The pumping muscles and working lungs helped to chase away the chill of the air against her wet flesh, not that she could feel it from the heat that the pale stallion had left from his presence. Lace had never felt that way before and decidedly placed it as an odd feeling, but she couldn’t get rid of it, and wasn’t sure she wanted too.


With her ears forward, the little mare hurried after Letavice as he lead her upward. The muscles in her legs were beginning to burn already, but her stubbornness lent her the strength needed to keep up with his longer legs. Only so often would she pause, head turning so her blue eyes could take in the scenery. But mostly, her gaze remained on the stallion ahead, watching the lines of muscles on his back and haunches work.


Was it rude to stare at his butt too long?


“You must have a strong lineage to live in such a place.” she complimented, finding her voice a bit breathless as she wasn’t used to the altitude change. “What power you must possess.” she added, knowing her comments were supposed to stroke his ego, but they were also spoken with truth not fake filled smiles.
