LOL! yes -was thinking the exact same.

So easy to keep portraying the brow-beaten down-trodden underpaid, undervalued and overworked staff-grade who is selflessly saving the whole dept from "lazy trainees" and "incompetent consultants" but this is very much the rooster taking credit for the sunrise.

In my experience it has been the fellows and consultants that have mopped up complications and dealt with the more difficult issues related to delivering ophthalmic care - professionals doing a job and without a ton of moaning.
