Playing games with the mare, Chimeras, had been fun that day and he'd never forgotten it. Since then, Carbon had been steadily trying to find other horses to befriend and play with but the Desert wasn't as generous with outgoing horses as he would like. At least he had his brothers Vulcan and Akello to keep him company though. Tossing his head, the black colt was reaching out to tug at Vulcan's mane in order to entice him into a game of chase when he heard that single word drop from his mother's mouth. Though he hadn't as much time around Berit as Vulcan, Carbon was a quick learner and had felt her teeth enough times to know when she meant business. Clearing his throat, he ducked his head and sighed in defeat as he trotted after the sooty mare. When he saw the mare that was approaching them though, he gasped in delight and started bouncing on his hooves, his eyes going wide in excitement as he nudged Vulcan's shoulder.
"Hey, I know her!" He whispered excitedly, sure his brother would get a kick out of that. The black colt pricked his ears, listening as Chimeras introduced herself to Berit. Then he looked up at his mother as she introduced herself in turn. When Vulcan introduced him and stepped as if to defend him, Carbon snorted and stepped more to the front of Berit, grinning up at Chimeras. "She already knows me. Hi, Chimeras. We played tag." He announced proudly, though throwing a wary glance over his shoulder at his mother in case he'd spoken out of turn.
