As I understand it NAPS is now about one third for enlisted entrance, one third to boost minority recruiting and about one third for the team kind of sports football, basketball, baseball, soccer and lacrosse(basically like other colleges "red shirting.")

Some of the Foundation(A&E) scholarships support the "individual" type sports.
