~ you carry both lightning and thunder "Father it just as you promised," he breathed into the frigid air around him as his glacial eyes eagerly take in the land that sprawled out before him. There were the craggy mountain peaks that scraped against the broody grey skies and the dense pine forest that sprawled across the foothills. His ears flicked atop his crown as he raises his head higher on his arched neck as a sigh left his whiskered lips. The Móšurland. He turned his glacial eyes towards his father who smiled and fondly bumped him. The Inlet is empty - except for his father and mother - he understands why his father returned for the Inlet but he does miss Siobhan and his sisters. He pushes himself across the wide open meadow. His hooves crunch through the thin layer of snow and his breath plumes from his nostrils with every breath. This place is nothing like the Ridge, but there are adventures that await him and it causes his heart to thunder with excitement. A familiar scent causes him to lift his head and his ears to stand erect within his mane. Isabel! He lunges into a lope, his legs carry him with swiftness through the piles and drifts of snow. "Isabel!" he nickers with excitement. As he draws closer to her, a smile spreads across his whiskered lips. He has missed her so much! He slides to a halt next to her, snow spews from beneath his hooves. "I've missed you so much!" he huffs each breath flares his nostrils and his sides heave. "Fathers here and mother..." he says with a toss of his head "but it gets lonely without you and my sisters, and Siobhan and Ailill, and Ysabel," his brow furrows as he thinks of those he's always known and how he wishes they could all be together. |
