-THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES

-there is no honor among thieves

The pony stallion was quick to halt any advances on his lover. Bjorn shoves himself between Cullen and Nyimara, causing Cullen to step back to avoid the challenge of the shorter stallion's hooves. Bjorn’s tongue was quick to speak his thoughts which contradicts what Cullen thinks. He smirks as the grullo mentions Yazheen never showing up in the Ridge. The smart mare must have high tailed it away from the islands as soon as he allowed her to go free. He couldn’t blame her, but the situation did make this issue hard to deal with. Cullen wanted a colt and in Bjorn’s mind the debt had been paid in half since he had not received Yazheen.’

In Cullen’s mind, he sent both his parts of the trade to Bjorn (no matter they made it or not), but Bjorn only sent half of his part. Now the two he did send were gone just as Yazheen had vanished and Cullen had nothing from their trade. No colt to train, to teach the ways of the Lagoon, and no grandson to gift to Verrat when he returns home. If he could gain enough of a herd to get all his brothers back. Cullen was ready to lash out at the Icelandic stallion and speak his mind, but the sharp tongue of his woman boils his blood. Blue eyes narrow on the face of the blonde-haired woman as she mocks him. His teeth snap in her direction, but he was nowhere close enough to feel her flesh between his jaws.

”Oh, honey I don’t know what empty threats you are trying to throw at me, but I barely remember you doing anything to make me regret taking you in the first place. I would gladly do it again unless your stallion here finishes his end of our bargain.” He turns his attention to Bjorn as words continue to slip from his lips. "There is some truth to your words, Bjorn, but our deal has not been fully met. You never sent me a son of your blood to finish the debt. Maybe you thought Yazheen not showing up meant you were off the hook, but you were wrong. She left my home glad to be out of the Lagoon, but she must have taken off elsewhere. She is no longer my problem, but you can imagine how angry I was when I gained no colt to train." His hoof stomps the cold earth below.

A snort forces its way from his nose as Cullen begins to take steps back away from the couple. His back never turns to them and his eyes never leave them as he continues to create some distance from them. Today was not the day for an all-out fight. "Kalayani and my grandson disappeared shortly after arriving, but I see you still have Nyimara. In order for me to leave your Queen alone I require a son of your blood. I will give you until spring to deliver a son and if you don’t, I will be forced to take one. Surly you have some pregnant mare out there carrying my next Lagoon member or perhaps the child is already born..." His eyes go to Nyimara as he grins.

Obviously, he was talking about their child together. Cullen wouldn't mind having Sigurdr back in his grasp to teach the ways of the Lagoon. Both of the boy’s parents were strong warriors so there was a lot of potential there. ”If I haven’t heard from you by the second week of Spring I will be back to strike my vengeance for playing me like a fool. I will have my colt.” One last glare is held on the two horses before he turns and escapes back towards the icy sea. He really didn’t want to spend anymore time on Tinuvel, but he did need to figure out where his cousin had been driven off to.
