He is adapting to many new circumstances revolving around this woman - laying quiet and still as he approaches. The idea to make noise when he approaches, to speak to calm her and tell her it is him not a stranger, to hide secrets from his brothers… and not entirely because she wanted some time to herself to grow accustomed to the new life she was choosing for herself. It feels strange, that Antares does not know he has found a woman, was keeping her here. It feels strange he did not first go to Sayyida and ask her to speak for him as Voice of Mut, to return to him as Varajakshi’s own Voice of Mut. It makes him feel exhilarated, though, that she responds to him with a smile.

No matter that the smile fades, he values that first with all of his being and it makes his mind spiral out to the meaning -- until she speaks and all he can do is think about the sound of her voice surrounding him in the confines of the little room in the rock. She denies a need for better food than what her haven provided, but she calls him something that intrigues him. Guardian. It feels cheap, being just a guardian to such a beautiful woman - like he knew he wanted to be more, but he was never one to run off with feelings to the point of disgrace and so he gladly lets himself be distracted by the next thing she suggests.

”I hope you also rested well? i would eat with you if you might join me…. unless your duties call you elsewhere of course.” He smiles, but is prompt so that she is not made to wait in her state of blindness. "I would be honored." He steps to her side, allowing his warmth to be a gentle reminder that he is near, to be a shadow of safety in her world of darkness. "Dining with you would be a delight. Here or at the mouth of our cave? I know the grasses to be quite green where the water pools by the outer walls - the source to the waterfall that feeds our hidden oasis here."
