Tomorrow (Mon 7th) marks Fenn’s dad’s birthday. He would be 52 years old. To remember and honour him, Fenn and I have designed an event tied to the Great Dragon Migration themed around the things he liked.
Six different types of dragon eggs are being left by nonchalant dragon mothers around Shaman. You have six opportunities to earn a dragon egg and try to collect all the different types of dragon. When you’ve earned a dragon egg, you can hatch the egg at any time by posting on the updates board. All eggs hatch into a specific breed of dragon which your character can then keep as a pet.
The types of eggs available are:
Black Dragon Egg
Metallic Dragon Egg
Blue Dragon Egg
Lumpy Dragon Egg
Red Dragon Egg
Mohawk Dragon Egg
Below are six sets of challenges. Completing any one challenge within a set will earn you a randomised dragon egg. Complete one challenge in every set for the chance to get six dragon eggs. All eggs are randomised, so you may not get six different eggs; you may want to trade with other players to get different eggs to complete your collection.
This event is open for the duration of the month of September. On October 1st, you will no longer be able to claim dragon eggs, but you will be able to hatch eggs already in your possession!
Post on the updates board to claim and hatch dragon eggs.
Set A:
1. Go outside
2. Eat a piece of fruit or vegetable
3. Drink a glass of water
4. Do a handstand
Set B:
1. Have a shower or bath
2. Go for a walk or run
3. Do a workout
4. Cook a meal from scratch
Set C:
1. Read for pleasure for 20 minutes
2. Listen to a podcast or audiobook for 20 minutes for pleasure
3. Write for 20 minutes for pleasure
4. Draw, paint or craft for 20 minutes for pleasure
Set D:
1. Do a post
2. Turn in a gold or platinum challenge
3. Submit an NPC or shamanimal
4. Buy a gift box for another player
Set E:
1. Eat your frog (do the one thing you’ve been putting off for ages)
2. Do a post with over 600 words
3. Complete an exploration
4. Complete a quest
Set F:
1. Do 5 posts
2. Complete a ren quest
[EDIT] Note - each action you do for a challenge must be separate. You can't, for example, write one 600 word post to claim sets E (do a 600 word post), D (do a post) and C (write for 20 min) all in one hit. You'd have to write two separate posts plus twenty minutes of different writing to get all three challenges. ;)
