It's not an anonymous source. It's an outright lie. The Atlantic has no shame for publishing it, but their aim was successful in getting "outraged citizens" to condemn Trump. Every instance in which the media publish lies, citing anonymous sourdes, they weaken the First Åmendment that protects them from libel lawsuits. The Atlantic, once a proud publication, has fallen to the level of the rags that publish UFO stories as fact. Sad, sad.
