The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.

Kaiju was finally here and so she has been able to split duties with him. She did hope he met the herd and the various mares here, but he was almost always at her side. When he wasn’t, she never smelled any of the other herd members on his coat. Saying she felt disappointed at this whole experience was an understatement. The Desert was beginning to get too hot for her liking. Sure, the Shore got this hot, but she had never been this pregnant in the heat before. She was so uncomfortable, dehydrated, and annoyed. She has even avoided most of everyone the last few days because of the depression that was settling in her brain.

Prior to all this, she had check with Cain and made sure he was looking after his herd. He was staying active so she guesses he has learned from his past mistake that led to her claim to his home. If she has done anything as Queen here, it was helping him be a better leader for his mares. She asked Cain to help patrol the borders when he had time to ensure the herd’s safety from other outsiders that sought to do things way worse than she has done. Now, Galexia was very glad to have his help. She barely had the energy to get up at all! Night was reaching for another day’s end, but something was wrong.

Galexia had a weird feeling in her gut and her child was oddly quiet. Something told her to find someplace away from everyone else, even Kaiju.

Suddenly, she begins to weep as she walks. ”I’m so tired of this!” She spits and curses her situation. ”I am supposed to be a majestic Queen! This isn’t fair!” She only felt hot, fat, and miserable instead of powerful and happy. Being a territory leader had not brought her happiness like she thought it would. In fact, she had been happier before all of this happened. Precious father had never come to see her accomplishment and Kaiju had barely shown up at all to claim his rights to the land she has handed him so easily. Nothing was how it should be!

To make it all worse, she found the Desert ugly. It was ugly compared to the island of Atlantis though the spring was proving to be its best month. Pretty flowers were finally blooming. It had taken them long enough! The Winter had been so ugly with so little grass that tasted gross. Honestly, she felt like she has lost weight instead of gained it since coming here. Why did Cain like this place so much? A heavy wave of nausea hits her. To add to all her stress, Galexia begins losing the contents of her stomach. ”I hate it here!” She whimpers as pain streaks across her barrel.

Things could have been different, but how the series of events played out has caused Galexia to want to leave. She hated the Desert, she hated the responsibility she has put on herself, and she loathed the disappointment Kaiju made her feel. She loathed being pregnant right now. It had been interesting and exciting in the beginning, but now it was all one big burden. She realizes she wanted to be a Queen because she wanted to be looked at and admired. Maybe she could accomplish that by becoming a lead mare to a herd where the stallion did all the work. She could just hand over control to Kaiju, but did he deserve it? She thought of only one stallion who did.

The pain grew more intense quickly. Unable to think anymore on the matter, she curses under heavy breaths. No matter how angry she was with him, Galexia wanted Kaiju at her side. She was afraid and didn’t want to do this alone. She didn’t want to die alone! It might sound dramatic, but all this pain didn’t feel right. Something wasn’t right. She manages to scream for anyone nearby as she paces. Blood clearly marks her path as she starts a walk towards a patch of pretty yellow flowers. She tries to distract herself by their beauty, but there was only so much their presence could do for her. Finally, she pushes and expels the child from her body.

The foal hits the ground with a thud, breaking some of the sack engulfing her. The foal immediately kicks the rest of the way free and takes her first breath of humid Desert air. Galexia’s side rise and fall with each heavy breath as she turns tear filled eyes on her child. Everything still hurt, but she tries to step towards her newborn daughter to clean her off. Galexia loses her footing and nearly crashed to the hard earth on top of her child. How tragic that could have been, but thankfully the foal was alright. Galexia’s heavy eyes fight to stay open, but she quickly loses the battle. She is fast asleep before the first horse approaches.
