i'll get under your skin

Corona was never invited to weddings amongst her former herd, mostly because she was too young and couldn't keep still. Why stand still to watch something when she could be running her legs off? It just all seemed so tedious at the time. But now she was more mature (a little) and she was intrigued to see how they celebrated such things here. Her mother had tried to teach her of tradition, but she was a rebellious filly so most of it went right out the other ear. At least, she had a friend in Sayyida here and she hoped to make more soon. Until then, she wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Luckily, by the time she showed up, there wasn't many onlookers yet so she could at least say she wasn't late. Snorting in satisfaction, she pranced over to the spot that was pointed out and tried to hold still. Her skin was trembling, her legs already burning to move within five minutes, but she tempered her energy for respect to the herd. Still, nobody said her gaze couldn't wander, so that's exactly what it did.

She didn't know the mare who was to be the bride but she did know the groom so that was saying something. Her gaze swept over the dark stallion with his star-like markings and his stoic expression. Surely, he showed more sides of himself to his bride when other prying eyes weren't around. The grey mare considered him wound a little too tight for her liking, but she knew it was still far too early to judge on any of the brothers who called this place home. Not that she expected to be with one of them. She was leaving her future completely open. Freedom was why she'd come to the islands in the first place and when Sayyida offered this paradise, she only accepted as an extension to her freedom. She chose this as her home. That would extend to her future husband, whoever he may be, as well. Her gaze wandered to the other brothers present, taking in all their markings and expressions as they watched from their assigned spots as well.

As her gaze swept over Sayyida, she offered an encouraging smile to her friend, ears pricking as she pretended to pay better attention to the festivities for a few moments before allowing her attention to wander once more. The bride was beautiful with her black coat that seemed to turn to smoke in certain areas on her body. She stool out in the golden sands of the Dunes, as magical looking as Atair himself. They made quite the pair. Corona let her gaze sweep over the other brothers present before her eyes wandered out even further, to the sand dunes beyond the ceremony where her body could be truly free. Only a few moments more...
