Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale (Kendry)

There is another here that seems out of place. Why? Goose does not understand this place. Me wanting the companionship of each other. A bonded place of hardened hearts and spiteful minds. This one too is different though. Goose wishe to seek them out. Inquiries great in the mind of a curious beast. The painted buckskin finds himself moving in the direction that he'd last seen Kendry. Why was he here? What drew him to the place that kept the buckskin tobiano captive? Feathers seemed to dance in the wind and his tendrils lulled around his neck as though to whisper sweet nothings into his ears. Sweet nothings were a way of remembering that this wasn't forever. This wasn't home. This would never be home. Goose did not get why another seemed so intrigued to call this home and remain of their own free wil.

A cry sings out. It is deep and calm. Curious but questioning of the other stallion he again spots in the distance. It isn't long before his approach is made and he pauses a respectable distance away. Those rich brown eyes dark with question and intrigue. He doesn't understand and yet; he finds interest all the same. What made this other tick in such a way that he would stay in freedom of choice? Or was he free to choose? Goose could imaigne that another could be here against his own will. It would not surprise him if such were a thing. Clearing his throat; his mind returns to the task at hoof.

Why? What makes you stay in such a place? Beneath the eye of one who readily takes the freedom of others who are happy where they are. Why do you stay?" He is troubled and confused by the other stallion in his decisions that are made here. Staying in a home with so much other testostorone does not calm the fire in his soul. It only stays to fuel it. This is not his place of choosing; this is not his home. Goose didn't belong here and yet; he could not leave on his own. That wasn't to say that he could not slink away for a day or two. This is what he'd done to see the birth of his child. Not in the exact moments unfortunately but within hours of his arrival and still so fresh to the world. A couple of days and he'd come back.

"Goose." He offered in way of a name. "It struck in my mind that I was not polite in offering a name and barging straight into inquiries. Forgive but the mind is confused in why you stay free of choice. Or are you free to choose?" Of course he didn't know unless Kendry told him either way. How could he? There was another thing that found its way into his thoughts then and Goose had to act upon it for it would drive him insane otherwise. It was just how his mind worked. Find it in your thoughts and voice it where needed. "I've seen you in the presence of another. A mare. Is she here by your choice?" Had he taken from another? Was she a trophy just like he was here? Or had Kendry wandered upon the dove in her moments of arrival by whatever means she had come? Curious he is and not mean in his tone. Merely wanting to learn and figure out what made this one tick and why he was here. It still didn't settle well in his mind that another was here freely. Well, that was if Kendry was free at all.
