OOC: Works for me!

When he heard the familiar nicker, Angel's head whipped around, eyes warming the moment they fell on the beautiful golden form of his daughter. She seemed to be letting the large draft stallion know that everything was okay. The buckskin watched as the tobiano gave her a nod before turning to wander away over the sand dunes. Huh, it was almost like they had some kind of truce going on, an alliance or something. He grew more and more impressed with his daughter, while also shaming himself for how long it took him to get here. He should have made the swim the moment she told him about getting a new home. The stallion knew his true distraction was Xiomara. She gave him the news that she was pregnant with another stallion's kid but wanted his help in raising it. He was dumbfounded. Why would she want him as a father figure? Surely, she'd want the child's true father, Bjorn, or some other strong king to show the son or daughter how to be mighty as its parents were. Not like him.

You're a loser. She's obviously off her rocker and feeling handicapped by hormones. She'll figure out her mistake once the baby's born. His jaw clenched at the idea of having fatherhood taken away from him. It was made obvious the first time that Angel loved being a father. He was born for it. Galexia became his world when she was born and he wanted to move heaven and earth to give her anything her little heart could desire. He missed when he and Solaris agreed on that. When she stole his daughter away to go to Raider, the betrayal cut deep and he'd never felt anger like that before, not because Solaris chose another stallion over him, but because she endangered their daughter by bringing her to the Lagoon. Angel wasn't sure if he could ever forgive her for that, even with her gone. But he moved on and he couldn't be more proud of the mare she'd grown up to be. He told himself he was waiting for young Velahrn to come with him because she obviously looked up to Xiomara and Galexia and wanted to see her new home.

But time kept passing and he was afraid he'd miss out so he made the swim on his own, telling himself he'd just make another trip to bring Velahrn another time. When his daughter got closer, he noticed the change in her body instantly and his breath caught in his throat. She was much rounder than he remembered. His body tensed, his eyes already searching for that stallion, Kaiju. He had to be the one responsible. Why wasn't he with Angel's daughter, keeping her safe? His anger rose but he kept his face neutral, not wanting to make Galexia think he was angry with her. Quite the opposite. He was just so worried about her being all the way out here in Salem. So far from home. So far from him. When she spoke to him, he pricked his ears, his nostrisl flaring to taste her familiar scent and yet the foreign taste to it was new. Now her scent mixed with the desert and her unborn child and he felt a ripple run down his spine.

His own lips tugged into am embarrassed scowl and he hung his head, ears drooping at the disappointment in her words. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. I let you down." She said Xiomara was more important and the guilt ran through his system cause he knew his thoughts were always consumed with her nowadays. He snorted softly. "You are my world, darling. No one could be more important." When she asked about her new home, he took a moment to look around before smiling at her. "It is definitely different from the Shore. I would ask for a tour but I don't want you to tire yourself." His brow furrowed in concern as he looked her over and stepped closer. "Please tell me this was consensual or I will have his head." Angel's jaw set, the anger flashing in his eyes for a moment as he looked at his daughter, his world. He didn't care if the scarred up paint stallion did it. If she told him she was forced, he would go after whoever was responsible with everything he had in him. That's not much. "Go fuck yourself." He muttered under his breath.
