What you want ain't always what you need

Her mind did not linger on Shaydowfax. She had been even younger than she was now at the time, but that mare’s leadership qualities had been idolizing for a young filly. Scorpio quickly saw her messy mistakes, but she still respected the mare for what she had accomplished. Being a lead mare was not in her future, at least she did not foresee it ever happening. She did not want it anyway. Scorpio would rather the life her mother lived. Her mother was in love and happy at last. She had found someone at last and their love was what the world needed more of. She prays to Kerr that one day she would find the same peace in her own future. Red ears perk as he mentions he in fact does live here. She watches him curiously as he continues to mention he has lived here long enough to know her father and more of her ancestry.

"Wow.” The word blurts out. There was no hiding her sudden interest in the older stallion. He may have been gone for many years, but it seems he also had a lot of history from before her family moved in. Seems even Bahadir used to live here long before her grandparents had. She yearns to learn more, but there was a looming darkness in her mind. With her family having so much history in the Dunes she was upset she hadn’t learned this from her own father.“This is the most I've heard about my father's side of the family. I only know things about my mother's side. My grandfather was leader of the Dunes for a short time, but he was old when he had my mother. He died when my mother was very young and she has passed his teachings along to me. I wish I could get to know my father, but when I tried to find him no one knew where he was." She sighs with eyes that suddenly grew heavy.

Brown eyes then leave the stallion’s gaze to look around the Dunes. ”Most of my life have been spent here and I miss it.” The words come as a whisper, but one loud enough to him to hear. Maybe she wanted him to ask her to stay. Maybe he would, but should she really accept? Her mother was living in the Desert and she would miss not waking up next to her and her young siblings every morning. She looks back to the new stallion living in the Dunes, still unsure if he was the new leader or not. ”My name is Scorpio by the way.” It was best to introduce herself since they were already talking about her family.
