GOD WON'T SAVE YOU NOW

Warsaw
you should have known the price of evil

It was no matter how beaten or how broken he was, she still saw him. His Queen still looks at him like she did the first time they made love. He remembers everything about that day so vividly. She teased him and played hard to get. Tavas was almost his daughter in yet she had spent the night with an old flame right before she showed up on his doorstep. Warsaw was a different creature back then, too. He was always on the prowl for a pretty face and someone easy to manipulate. He found Vita Nova reuniting with an old friend of hers. Being the strong mare that she was, she was quick to protect her friend and shoo him away.

Of course, Warsaw was persistent to the point he found out where she lived and challenged for her. That was his first time clashing with Shamwari who he learned was only her brother. You could say he was ecstatic to learn that piece of information and then to have her show up in the Inlet to yell at him. It was that fiery passion that fueled his chasing instincts and led them to the cave for the first time. Eventually she became his and he became hers without realizing it. Their back and forth fighting were intense at times. I believe they even called it quits once, but they always found each other again.

Eventually she never left and became his Queen. Babies came, but the feud with her brother and friends of the Forest stayed intact. It was hard for her to handle, but still she stayed. The love Vita Nova gave to Warsaw was more than anyone else had ever given him. He owed her everything. She deserved their home back before he could no longer give it back to her. She deserved this as much as their sons did if not more. Vita Nova was the main reason he had not died on the battlefield fighting Shamwari.

He smiles at her as she talks to him playfully and tugs at his mane. He may feel lousy compared to how he felt before leaving the Inlet, but she had a way of restarting his heart. He enjoys the feel of her warm body against his until he unravels about his worries with their children. He nods drastically when she mentions Brunhild needing a good talking to. He couldn’t wrap his mind around why she would even try to cuddle up to Bjorn. Even Tavas had left him in the dust (at least he hopes so). She goes on to say she wasn’t worried about Letavice and then that she wasn’t the best horse to go after Ironclad.

He chuckles at the thought of her stomping into the Shore to find him. Warsaw would go himself if he could, but he feared the swim. Salt would not feel good on his open sores anyway. Her muzzle slides along his body and a shiver rolls up his spin. That old devilish smirk of his spreads across his lips. Even after all these years he still had a thing for her touch. Her demanding presence and her great leadership skills. Vita Nova was his perfect mate. She beat down her enemies in battle, but she only battled when it was truly needed. She had a restraint he would never have. ”I love you,” he breathes loudly as speaks almost like he was winded.

His head reaches over to rest his head against her shoulders. ”I love you more than anything.” He whispers loud enough for her to hear. His eyes close as he listens to the many sounds on their home. Tinuvel’s various birds chirping around them as they perch in the trees. The gentle wind rustles through the grass and picks up some loose hairs on his head. “I am tired my Queen. I have never been so tired.”
