live life to the fullest

He was being very patient with her and she couldn't be more grateful to him for all the guidance and support. He truly was a gentleman and just what she needed right now. He let her take her time, not chastising her when she paused to get used to the cold of the water or the rushing feel of it around her knees. When she looked up and caught his gaze, she drew strength from his rich blue eyes, taking another deep breath and then taking another step. She pleaded with him to stay close and wasn't disappointed when he said he wouldn't leave without her. The words made her heart leap with joy as she smiled despite her fear and stepped again. He encouraged her forward, never faltering and she told herself to keep breathing as she got closer and closer to where he stood. When she got close enough to touch, she felt his nuzzle and let out a contented sigh. Even with all the tension built up inside her, she still felt such a calm when he touched her. It was soothing, like a balm on a burn.

Everywhere he touched, she trembled, her body aching for more. He continued to cheer her on, telling her she was doing greet and she looked up to give him a reassuring smile. When he told her to keep her eyes on him, she nodded. "Okay." He pressed against her and she leaned into the support, but not too much, not wanting him to think her co-dependent and clingy. When he stepped forward, he looked to her, obviously expecting her to do the same. She tried not to think about the darkness of the water and instead trained her gaze on him, focusing on the depths of his pretty blue eyes and the warm smile on his lips as she stepped forward, too. When the ground started to dip further away from her hooves, she gasped for a minute, panic threatening to overwhelm her and every nerve in her body started screaming at her to turn around.

But when he stayed beside her, she forced herself to stay put and looked over at him, once more drawing strength from his presence. The whites of her eyes rolled in fear but when he asked if she was ready, she took a few deep breaths and nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be." Her nostrils flared but she pressed herself once more to his side as he started forward. She tried not to look down at the water too much but rather focused on his steady breathing beside her and the feel of his strong body against hers. "I can do this..." She whispered to herself more than anything.
