Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

-THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES

-there is no honor among thieves

Fearghas and my brothers,

Please don’t consider all Fearghas has to say the truth. The young stallion barely knows me as I barely know him, but there are a few among us that do know me much better. My brothers stolen to the Peak were shown respect under my authority. They were all given a choice when I decided to participate in the war that wounded me so the point I could not fight for their honor. Some fought with me and some stayed behind as they saw fit for themselves.

I have claimed two males, but decided to let them join our ranks. I didn’t have to do that, but I did it to some them some respect and open up their potentials among us. I have made friends among my brothers new and old. There are some that look up to me for guidance and show me respect. They are given respect in return.

How I treat the mares brought in here does not have to be liked or agreed upon by others. That is the risk bringing females into the Lagoon and has been for as long as I have lived here. Even as a small child there were stallions that did not respect the female sex. It is a personal choice. Fearghas here bases his opinion solely on how I have treated the mare he has grown feelings for. He allows her to do whatever she wants in a land run by stallions and for that something had to give. Why call this place home of the bachelors if mares can just come and do whatever they want?

You don’t have to agree on everything I think, but you do have to respect my decisions for as long as I am Boss.

By the way, Fearghas, I was once born in this Lagoon and the place was something the islands feared. Mares and colts were often stolen from herds and held captive here for the gain of the brothers. My mother shared that fate which set the course of my life in the Lagoon. I have set out to better the lives of the young males to become strong and make choices for themselves just as I have.

Let the votes be open for Boss, but know I don’t go down easy.
