 The perfume of women had suddenly become overwhelming as it flooded Tyr’s sensitive nose. Even in the throngs of the Lagoon, surrounded by men, he felt as if he were drowning in it. Without thought, the giant of a stallion sought escape. He left the safety of his home, throwing himself to the merciless salt water and same for a random mass of land in hopes of finding reprieve. But when he pulled himself up onto the shores, be was surprised to find it was a place he had not yet visited. The trees looked welcoming and he wondered if this was the place called Luthien? If he were to ever claim a territory, he could envision a place like this being his own. But just like the Crossing, Tyr is again wrapped in the scent of female. His ears twist atop his head; forward then back in his curiosity. At least it was not as strong here as it was on the Crossing. So, with confident steps, the stallion begins to trot along the shore towards the smell. When he spies her up ahead, he is shocked enough to come to a sudden halt. She is tall, and strong; having much the same build as his own. It excites him in a way he hadn’t realized he could be, knowing that he had finally found someone that could produce a child of strength. A warrior son to raise in the Lagoon. With an excited toss of his head, the stallion charged. His large hooves crashed through a rising wave just as he reached her, his head giving a wild toss that made his silver mane dance from one side of his broad neck to the other. “You!” he exclaimed in his rumbling baritone of a voice. “You’re mine.” he claimed before driving forward, ears pinning to his skull as he swept around the draft mare to angle himself to herd her into the water and back to the Lagoon. |
