Bacardi had realized his actions were foolish. To give away his misgivings to a total stranger and ask something of them within the same breath? For his strong lineage, the young painted stallion felt weak. They would be ashamed of him for not being able to stand on his own, though he had done so, he just was too clueless to carry on. Perhaps he should just keep trying, keep pushing to be the Savanna leader. But just as he was working up the courage to apologize, Valka cut into his rambling thoughts. He needed to work on getting those under control.


Lupine eyes widening, he looked at the pony mare in surprise. ”R-Really?” he asked, as if he couldn’t believe she had given him what he had truly been desiring. As if realizing how he gaped at her, the young stallion recollected himself, though knew it was too late. He had already embarrassed himself with his shock and excitement. “Thank you, Valka. This means a lot that you’re willing to give me a chance.” Bacardi said genuinely. “I will do everything in my power to help protect.” Though he wasn’t sure how much that truly was. Bacardi was still untried, except for a few practice scuffles that he had done rather good in. Hopefully that was a good sign to what he could do.


“I need to return to the Savanna. There are two mares that live there and I must tell them what has happened. I’m not sure if they will come with me, but they should at least know.” Bacardi said before he gave a respectful bow of his head to his new leader. “I will return as soon as I can.” Bacardi promised before he turned and made his way back into the salty water with new determination on his dark face.
