The pounding of hoof beats suddenly behind her had the young mare snickering as she turned her head, expecting to see Ironclad on her tail. Instead, her gaze narrowed in challenge as the large bay roan stallion lunged out of the waves. Her nostrils flared, taking in his scent. He was not of the Inlet, not even of Tinuvel. As he marched toward her with purpose, she snorted and stomped a hoof, screaming her defiance at him. He remained unemotional as he moved toward her but she sneered as her skin shivered with anticipation. He had no idea what he was signing himself up for. She recalled the smell of nervous energy still coming off Ironclad when she'd nipped at him back on the shore. Was he still scared of her? At least he'd shown some spirit but baring his teeth back at her. That was an improvement. In response, she'd giggled before dancing out of reach, her tail swishing as she tore off across the inlet, daring him to give chase. She never got to see if he was going to try to catch up because the large bay stallion arrived on the shorelines shortly after. As the larger stallion closed in on her, she flattened her ears and lunged for his throat, turning her head to try to bite right at his vital area. Right about then, she heard Ironclad's scream and as she danced out of reach, she turned her head to see the gray stallion rearing up to strike at the bay. His voice had some strength to it this time and she couldn't help but smirk, her two toned eyes twinkling as she moved to the stallion's other side and tucked her head to her chest, striking out with both hind hooves aimed for his barrel, figuring he would try to move away from Ironclad's attack and right into her waiting hooves. She never stayed in one place too long, dancing in circles around the bigger stallion to keep him from herding her in any one direction. She gnashed her teeth and purred at the stallion as she pranced around him, arching her neck. "You're outmatched, sweet cheeks, so I suggest you crawl right back into the water and slink somewhere else."
