. CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site
There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities.
This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only.
We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund.
Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.
Messages posted in the last 24 hrs. are in White.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and in light of the new restrictions and risks posed, the annual Remembrance Sunday march past the Cenotaph will not take place this year.
Many other Remembrance Sunday events across the Country (including in our Regimental areas) have also been scaled back and we ask the Fusilier family to respect these national lockdown rules.
We can still show our respect despite these restrictions. We therefore encourage you to take part in remote and socially-distanced Remembrance activity by wearing a poppy, watching the Remembrance services on television and pausing for a two-minute silence at home.
• Saturday 7 November: Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, broadcast on BBC One.
• Sunday 8 November: National Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph, where 145 uniformed Service personnel and 30 veterans will be attending a closed ceremony. The service will be broadcast nationwide on BBC One, Sky and ITV. National two-minute silence at 1100.
• Wednesday 11 November: Service to mark the burial of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey, broadcast live by the BBC. Small wreath-laying event at the Cenotaph (closed ceremony). National two-minute silence at 1100.
The Minister for Defence People and Veterans, Johnny Mercer, said:
"Remembrance Sunday holds a special place in our national life and I know that many people will be disappointed that they won’t be able to attend this year. But the key part of Remembrance is taking a moment to recognise those who have given their lives protecting this country. I hope that everyone will still be able to reflect on this sacrifice this year, despite the different arrangements."
