With an innocent heart, she loves

Eness

Her expression filled eyes watched him closely; her stoically masked husband she was starting to know very well. He was not displeased with her, quite the opposite actually, and inwardly she sighs in relief. They both felt the loss of Sakhmet, the heartless pair grieving in their own unique ways.

“Allat knows me well,” a heavy sigh, retracting her wandering nose back across to herself to glance upon the moon once more, even just for a second, “i have carried her with me throughout my journey, wary to stray from the path she has laid out for me.” The stars above twinkle ever so slightly, as if in agreement with her words. Without her goddess and her beliefs, Eness would have never stood up to her sire, or ran away with the intent of never returning. Like a domino effect her choice to save Sakhmet that night under the moon had led them to where they were supposed to go, to where the other half of Eness’s soul awaited, and hopefully to where both ladies would find their happiness. What could have happened had Eness never done all of that?

Atair’s voice brings her attention back to the forefront, eyes slipping back down to drink in the sight of her husband. A hitch in her breath at the underlying meaning of the words he speaks, the season that is upon them, but mostly her as the heat that bubbles just under her skin emits its own sickly sweet perfume her husband was doing his best to ignore. Bless him for being as strong willed as he could possibly be in this moment, despite his words claiming otherwise.

“I would enjoy this very much,” Eness is all too eager to accept this proposal of a walk, eyes glinting with a bit of mischief as she turns to take up residence at his side, “at least this time you are not so eager to be free of my presence.” She gently teases, brushing her nose against his neck as she had originally planned to before, seeking the warmth her body yearned to touch and feel. She keeps close to him as they move, bodies touching here and there with the strides that are taken to keep pace with the other. It wasn’t long before the view of the oasis was long gone and the pair were completely alone.

“The night is kind tonight,” She remarks in an attempt to break the silence, raising her face to look at the side of his own ever briefly before looking out across the dunes before he could notice; feigning innocence over the effect she truly had on him, and he on her. “Tell me your thoughts husband, where do they wander under the stars?,” only once calming the rapid beating of her heart in her chest does she look to him, every curve of her body pressing into the welcoming warmth of his own when leaning close.
