What you want ain't always what you need

Only a few months have passed since she returned to the Dunes and met its new leader. Mas has told her more information about her father’s side of the family than anyone else seemed to know so she stuck around for more. She was curious just how much he knew and what more she could learn about her family history. Her mother was sad to see her leave the Desert, but thankful that she wasn’t going far. Her whole family used to live in the Dunes at one point before moving to the Desert. Now that she thought about it, she had never left Salem. One day she would like to visit her half sister who lives in the Bay, but she heard the place was brutally cold in the winter. Scorpio had no intentions of going any place cold in the near future.

For now, she would settle with learning more about her family history. That topic was interesting enough so she was on the prowl for others that knew of her father. There was no need to learn of her mother’s side because her dam had told her all she knew already. Both sides seemed equally interesting, but it was her father’s side that held some mysteries to it. The growing young mare travels the over the soft sand dunes until her eyes happen upon the very stallion she was seeking. There were many horses that lived her, though most seemed to stick to themselves, but it was only this particular stallion who held her interest. Maybe she was just using him for his knowledge. It was unclear was her motives were except to learn more. Scorpio nickers to Mas, the golden mare at his side, and what was possibly their child before drawing closer. She stops just within speaking distance of the trio.

”Good to see you again Maslakhat.” She greets him with a smile and of her head before turning her eyes to the mare. ”Hello,” she says in a soft friendly manner. She wasn’t approaching them to meet new faces, but if this mare had any idea who her father was then she would happily make her acquaintance. Her eyes then turn to the small foal who greatly embodies her parents.

Scorpio returns her eyes to Mas before speaking again. “I hope I’m not interrupting, but I was hoping you could tell me more about Bahadir and the family I come from. I want to know more of my heritage.” This sentence should be enough to pry more information out of the Akhal-Teke lead. He hadn’t withheld any information from her before so why would he now? Of course, he hadn’t had a child around him last time.
