hold me in this wild, wild world;

Atlantis had not been their perfect fit. While the weather there had been a pleasant reprieve from the harsh cold winters that she had endured caught in the company of Liland, it was still a far cry from the perfect home she or Dex imagined. This did not mean she was not grateful to Rougaru and his herd of strong willed mares. Though the silver haired stallion caused her skin to prickle with unease, he kept to himself and always seemed polite enough. However she had not missed the rumors that whispered through the dark nights of his brash nature and feral tendencies. It made her more and more grateful every day for the familiar warmth and protective gaze of Dex.

Together, with Chronos more of less in tow, they had set out for the main island. Talien mused that perhaps some distance between themselves and Atlantis would give both she and Dex the opportunity to meet some horses from the different islands and perhaps deduce where next they should venture to settle. To be frank, Talien was content as she could ever remember being. The atmosphere on the main island was cooler than Atlantis but not nearly as frigid as Tinuvel. Talien took comfort in the openness that the meadow and commons offered but made certain to avoid the thickest cluster of horses, especially during the season that caused her heart to thrum and veins to run with hot fire as she watched her handsome mate thrust through the shallows before her.

A small smile tugs her lips upwards into the beginnings of a smile as she watches him from a distance, appreciating the fine lines and contours of his handsome features that would surely make any mare swoon. It was unfair of her really, continuing to stay on the main island where so many moved with ease. Talien was not completely ignorant to the restlessness that burned beneath Dex’s russet skin as of late. He worried for her, worried for Chronos, and that worry showed more and more evident as the days passed by them.

”Whatever did that water do to you?” she teases, her lilted tones playful as slowly she pranced towards him, her sleek serpentine arched elegantly to press her small muzzle against the petite curve of her neck. Long chocolate colored tail flicks against sleek sides of brandished gold. Pale silver blue eyes blink up at him, warmth flooding her skin at the intensity of his emerald green eyes. ”You have a bit of mud riiiiiggghhhht here.” she teases, reaching out to nip his flank before dancing nimbly just beyond his reach with a shake of her head an a warm laugh, her eyes sparkling.
