The Lagoon felt too stuffy right now. He was unable to keep still without the wandering thoughts returning so he had to find something to occupy his time. This is why his legs carry him over to the commons, but there is no one there seeking attention. It was pretty empty actually so he moves on to the next second of the main island, the meadow. He quickly comes upon a peculiar sight. Two mares surrounding a fallen colt on the beach, barely out of the sea’s grasp. He does well to keep quiet as he ventures closer. Each step was made carefully to avoid detection so he could overhear what they were saying.

Their concern for the boy was obvious, but so was the fact that neither of them were his mother. A smirk descends upon his lips the moment the sooty bay mentions wondering where his mother was. New opportunities to rebuild his herd was just falling in his lap this week. Cullen nickers to the group as he trots over to them. Worry pastes on his face like the actor he was as he pushes past both mares to the collapsed colt. ”Son what has happened to you?” He asks with concern lacing his voice. ”Where is your mother?” For added effect, Cullen raises his head and looks out to the sea as if he was searching for her among the waves.

If he knew the blood that ran through the boy’s veins, he may have added in the option of letting him out of his misery. Then again, having a Shamwari son among his home had not been so bad last time. It was decided. Cullen would take in this child and raise it as his own. Blue eyes return to the dunalino colt. His golden color pits him closer to Cullen’s coat than either of these mares so he assumes his ruse couldn’t be that far off.
