Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Rade x Cherish
Golden Captain of the Lagoon

His pet had a lot of explaining to do. Varanduil was the first horse he had given a piece of himself to since Lilithyia took what she had. He vowed to never give his heart away to another mare, but he had never expected a stallion to fill his heart with these kinds of emotions. Though there were a few brothers he had grown close to (all of them were gone now), none of them had stirred the feelings Vara did. He was…special. Cullen had even told him this in confidence knowing his pet would never betray him. He knew Varanduil would never leave his side. This is why he offered to the herd to give him a title. His pet would be powerful alongside him.

Feeling the flesh of his lover between his jaws was satisfying, but only for a few seconds. He required more for his amount of betrayal, but something held him back. Unless his attacks on Collision Course and Kahraman, Varanduil held a different position in his heart and in his herd. Cullen stayed nose to nose with the palomino stallion as he awaits whatever it was he might say to defend himself. Knowing Vara, he would give into the abuse which would not be any better for Cullen. Finally, his words rise above the sound of Cullen’s labored breaths. The intensity of his eyes burn like an open flame as he listens. His white tail wags violently behind him.

”He didn’t need to be an enemy?" The words sizzle off his tongue like sparks. Varaduil was delusional in his thinking. The stallion’s words continue into a needless story of regret and supposed loyalty. He had tried to keep Fearghas a friend, but there was one big problem with that. Cullen snorts loudly and steps away from his lover. ”Fearghas was never our friend. He didn’t even try to be.” Cullen growls as he continues. ”That youngster doesn’t even know me, but he spoke of only bad things I have done as if he was there to witness it all. He gave me no chance and he gave these brothers no chance. He couldn’t even take his loss like a stallion. Fearghas turned tail and ran instead of admitting his defeat. Instead of accepting me as his Boss and getting to know me he decided it was best he ran because he couldn’t agree with my convictions of brotherhood. A brotherhood he was never a part of in the first place.”

Cullen stomps a hoof. ”He knows nothing of how I treat my brothers. Honestly, none of you do. The stallions that live here now are too new to have any real bonds to each other.” His eyes narrow on his companion. ”I hoped for the loyalty of the stallions currently living here. The only one I expected loyalty out of was you.” He snarls, revealing his yellowed teeth to the sooty palomino. ”In your efforts to make a new friend you have soiled our relationship. I loved you and I now I can’t trust you.”
