The more he watched the older mare, the more calm he felt. In a way, she reminded him of his mother, Illusion. She had a quiet demeanor and seemed to only want to assure him that she meant no harm. She rested her back leg and settled, watching him patiently. Letting out a breath, he let his own body relax, though not fully. She could change on a dime, after all.
She asked which islands he'd visited so far and the colt laughed and shook his head before he spoke.
"Well, I'm ambitious so a whopping none. Besides my home herd on Tinuvel, of course." He said with a wry smirk. She said she came from Atlantis and he couldn't help his gold brown eyes widening a bit as he leaned in a little.
"Atlantis? Sounds mysterious. What's it like there?" She was quick to answer, telling him about jungles and his eyes widened even more. Sounded like lots of places for predators to hide. He wondered if he ever wanted to go there, after all. When she mentioned Tinuvel, he gasped in excitement, scowling when she said she'd been to the inlet.
"Well, the inlet's our neighbors, but I haven't been there. I live in the Cove." He lowered his voice a little.
"But I did sneak to the Bay once with my friends when we were younger. We were on a secret mission." He gave a little smirk, slowly gaining some confidence in speaking to her. The mare grew thoughtful for a moment before giving her name as Faolain. He dipped his head.
"Pleasure to meet you, miss. I'm Galahad." He knew his manners, thank you very much. She asked how he liked the crossing and he raised his head a little.
"Well, it was boring, until I met you." He gave a little smile, his tail still swishing.
