breaking the bad

[ 1 year - 14.3 hh - arabian mutt - gold champagne, star - green eyes - no home ]

He could tell the mare wasn't very amused with him for the most part but he brushed it off, more interested in seeing how he could scare the bejesus out of the filly with her, anyway. Younger foals were always fun to hassle. He had to keep an eye on the crab, too, though. Every time he swished his tail, he threatened to let the little beast catch him somewhere else with its nasty pincers and those things hurt just pulling his tail. He was sure they wouldn't feel too good on a leg or haunch or something. Wrinkling his nostrils, he turned his head again to see what the mare as up to. She seemed to be giving it her best effort but the little crab was putting up a decent fight as well, going for her delicate nose with its pincers.

"Stop that, you. Get off, already." He scolded the crustaceon, as if that would help. Meanwhile, his green eyes kept sliding back to the wide eyed filly, waiting for his golden opportunity. About the time the older mare decided to lash out at the crab with a hoof and send it rolling in the sand, the golden colt suddenly jumped at the filly with a big "boo!" that sent her scrambling with a mighty squeal. He was sure the whole island heard it and laughter leapt from his chest at the thought. As the filly hid under her mother, Chronos could only grin in triumph, not at all perturbed by the protective mare.

He watched as she comforted her daughter before turning to lecture him about scaring her. He tilted his head, giving his most serious look. "Who said I'm nice?" His parents would be appalled, probably, since they certainly didn't raise him to be a nuiscance. That's just what he decided he wanted to be, after all. He expected the mare to avoid him now and probably guide her filly elsewhere, so he was surprised when she asked more questions. Of course, it was about his parents. They always thought he should be supervised or something. He snorted and rolled his eyes before rolling his shoulders in a shrug.

"They're around, I suppose. Yeah, I'm golden. Get it?" He grinned, his green eyes twinkling at his own joke.
