The reunion between father and child was sweet, but she wished it would stop. The spirits had bigger plans of this father and she had righteous justice to place upon his shoulders. Bjorn steps in front of his young daughter to face her with a threatening stance. Brunhild does not falter, but instead smirks at him with glistening blue eyes. He asks what it was he could do for her just as the girl makes the comment that she was from the Inlet. ”I am from the Inlet little one,” he comments to the child though in reality they were nearly the same age. Her focus turns back to Bjorn before she speaks again. ”You promised to use your strength to keep me safe, but then you disappeared on me. I was relying on your protection.”
She wonders if her words would stir his memory about their meeting in the Inlet. She had left her family in the Cove to come live with him just before he disappeared. Bjorn then returned and claimed to be going to the Shore, to which she followed. That was when she found her brother spying on the Icelandic stallion and told him the good news of their father’s reclaim of their family home. She had followed Ironclad back to the Inlet and when she returned to the Shore, Bjorn was gone. ”You can be hard to track down,” she says with a chuckle. A step forward was taken, but she did not venture too close to them. She knew his trust wasn’t given to her even though she has been searching for him.
”I wish to know more about your homeland and the gods you serve. I’m sure your child will enjoy hearing those tales as well.” She flashes the girl a smile before returning her eyes to Bjorn. Would he tell her his story? Would he teach her about the spirits that call to her?
