Things had been rather quiet around the Inlet since the whole thing with the carcass and poor Kvothe's situation. She wondered if the mare had a chance to tell Ironclad yet about what happened to her. She would tear him a new one if he scared the fresian mare or made her feel that it was her fault in any way. The painted mare already had to find the stallion with the target on his head for his mind games. She wouldn't care who else she had to add to the list. She grew restless as Fall died off and the winter cold started to set in. Her body was finally starting to feel like normal again, thank goodness. Ironclad was still attractive, but not in an uncontrollable way that scared her. This way, she would have more time to get to know him. He still had some things to prove in her opinion, anyway. She thought about a visit to the Bay soon to visit Valka and see how she was doing. She wondered how big her son must be by now. Maybe she'd get to see him up close this time? As the bay dun mare trotted along the borders, she came across an unfamiliar scent and paused, ears swiveling around as she flared her nostrils. It was another mare, but she smelled of another herd. Curious, Medusa tracked the smell until she saw the dark figure up ahead. Her pale mane and tail was striking and Medusa couldn't help but admire her beauty as she got closer. Blue and brown eyes took in the confident way the mare moved, as if she knew exactly why she was here. Soon enough, maybe she would know, too. Throwing her head, Medusa whinnied in greeting as she approached. Stopping to take the female in better, she tilted her head as she surveyed her. "Hello, I'm Medusa. What brings you to the Inlet?"
