He watched the young boy’s face, a smile threatening to break its way across his face. He chuckled, listening to the boy ask about places to run. “There are many, many places to run. You see, most of my family is large like myself, meaning we need a lot of space to run and not trip over logs or running into trees.” He grinned now, describing the terrain to Carbon. The boy asked why he would be nervous, and he paused, thinking for a minute. “I’ve only ever been around my own family, the idea of branching out, like this, it’s a little nerve-wracking.

He nodded solemnly, listening to Carbon boast of his father. “Your father sounds like a great leader, Carbon.” He grinned softly. The next words caused him to laugh sharply, unable to hide his reaction. “Yes, I am quite large, aren’t I? Its more scared in the part where I don’t know where to go, really.” Why he was explaining himself to a young man, he’d never know, but alas, here he is.

His attention is drawn sharply away from the boy, his eyes narrowing as he catches sight of another male coming their way. Revelation shifted his weigh, enough to wake up his nerves should he need to move before Carbon, but he made no movement to make such a stance—yet.

I’ve heard stories of the lagoon, my family comes from the islands originally. Sure, it may be a ‘brotherhood’ but, that’s not all it is about. I’d rather find my own way. I know better.” He watches the painted stallion, his eyes flicking towards Carbon. Listening to the boy stand up for himself against Cullen, he had to hold back in his smile. He was proud of the boy for speaking his mind against a grown stallion.

When the kid turned his attention to Revelation, inviting him to the desert, he nodded. Watching the kid head towards the water to go home, he turned his gaze back to this…Cullen.
