Politicians never get it right. I was speaking the other evening with a friend who’s one of the Anne Arundel County (Maryland) utility maintenance men and asked him when he was scheduled to get his virus immunization. He told me that nobody knew, but probably not before April. The way politicos think, humanitarian concerns dictate that old, infirm people should be immunized right after the medical personnel who interface with the infected. WRONG! The importance of logistics is never an issue with politicians who seem to think that electricity will always be there to make the lights light, potable water will always flow, and the toilets will always flush. It doesn’t happen that way. If I were in charge—and God knew what He was doing not to make that so—logistic maintenance personnel would come before anyone else. I’m glad I’m not a politician. I’d be knocking heads of my colleagues, trying to beat sense into their noggins. Replies: There have been no replies.
