Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

She gave birth to her child a week ago, but Maeve keeps the filly hidden. Something was wrong with the girl so she was afraid for the beast to find them. The worry that Tyr would murder their child for not being strong was terribly frightening. The girl was much too beautiful to end her life so short. Maeve would do her best to guide the child through her troubles and to safety. If she could just get Grizel to the Forest, but there is no way the filly would make it with that wheeze in her lungs. She would surely die trying to escape. The only option was to keep her here and fight.

Maeve has never chosen to fight before. She had always been an obedient mare raised to follow whatever her husband asked of her. Bare children? Sure. Some him attention? Sure. Leave him alone? Sure. The thing was she never got to marry. The war between the neighboring herds took her potentials away and made her an orphan. She escaped to these islands only to be met by an angry grey beast who took her innocence. She was thankful the gods led her to safety in the Forest. She became surrounded with friends who helped keep her safe and raise her unruly son.

Then the war struck even these islands. She met the nicest of stallions who kept her safe. His reward was the gift of a beautiful daughter who was safe back with Persephone. Maeve finds herself once again raped and forced to carry a child of a stallion she doesn't know. This time she remains a captive even though she friend tries to free her. Maeve stays on the move around the Lagoon, giving her filly the time to rest each time. This time an unfamiliar voice calls out nearby. The chestnut shire peers around a tree to take a look at the owner of the voice.

It was a young male. He didn't seem old enough to be away from his mother and he defiantly didn't fit the part of a Lagoon child. A gentle nicker escapes her lips as she urges her filly to stick close. Maeve approaches the young boy with a soft smile on her lips. "Child?" She says, thankful to have learned some of the native tongue from her friends back home. She was trying to inquire why he was here. "Safe." Just as Persephone had said to her she wanted this boy to know she was safe. The silver seal brown creme at her side watches the colt with scared eyes.
