Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale

Anger. Goose could not have blamed her one little bit. What he'd done was not necessarily right, but it was his only option he'd felt. It was to protect his family. Of course, Riddler too had been mad and a bit sad for the circumstances. Riddler had gone to the Lagoon though. Riddler had after a while; understood his father's choices that had been made. They were to protect mother and he from becoming prisoners. He understood who the Boss of the Lagoon was as well, and the things he'd done. The fights for the Bay's own. The Lagoon was a sticky; humid wasteland his father had told him. Riddler had also been told to think hard in the future and when the time came; he would make his choice. Stay in the Lagoon or leave. That time was a couple years away though. Goose's child was only a yearling and had his whole life ahead of him. It had been time for Riddler to start learning. A deal of good faith had been given and Goose was honoring it. He was also proud of his son's decision to honor that deal as well.

Goose had aide the enemy, but Goose had not so much been a real willing participant in that. It was a decision he had made to yet again; protect his family. It had been all for his family here in the Bay. To protect all of them, not just his mate and son. Goose had thought long and hard on the things he'd done. So yes, he was ashamed in a sense but, he was also relieved that he'd come home and could rekindle relationships that had perhaps been partially severed. Goose was delighted to see his mate and son. Goose was also delighted to see his matriarch.

As Valka approached; there is no hatred or judgement in his eyes that settled upon his matriarch. There is only compassion and warmth in seeing her come hither. Goose met her fuzzy muzzle and gently brushed against it for that moment or two in greeting. It is then that Valka comes to settle against him; the warmth that he provided for his friend and his family. Valka was like a sister to him; he considered her as much. Someone to protect and to love. Valka was someone to confide in. Goose knew that the future would hold healing and in time; it would be. Goose understood the anger and misguided trust. There is no blame. Goose too was angry with himself but he'd panicked in the time and didn't know how else to protect those he loved. "Valka. I've missed you. I'm glad to be home." There is no mention of what had been, it was over now. He was home. Goose knew that his son was protected even if he didn't like the Boss of the Lagoon. Riddler was one of the residents there to train among them.

They are fair. Happy that I'd come back finally. Riddler left to begin his training in the Lagoon." Goose's words were a little sorrowful and a bit fierce upon mentioning the Lagoon. Valka would understand the anger there. Not at her, but at himself. Goose had made decisions but at least; his son was safe. They were all safe. Goose had aided their enemy but hopefully no more remorse would ever have to come of it. "How have you been?" A change in subject. Goose didn't want to mention the Lagoon any more than he must. Thoughts would not leave but he would check in on his son from time to time of course. Goose would be assured all was good. Hell would come otherwise should things go south again for any of them, including Riddler.
