Gayle and I poked around our yard, down the road and a few slightly more distant locations through the Backyard Bird Count weekend, and arrived at 17 species. I've avoided doubling up on counts that were in our own yard on separate days. Waterfowl were all on small open patches in the Green River across the road from us.

Black-capped Chickadee - 28
Red-breasted Nuthatch - 1
White- Breasted Nuthatch - 3
Common Redpolls - 47 (an extraordinary crowd yesterday; must have been 2 flocks)
American Goldfinch - 3
Hairy Woodpecker - 3
Downy Woodpecker - 2
Pileated Woodpecker - 1
Common Raven - 1
Blue Jay - 1
Barred Owl - 1
Northern Shrike - 1
Canada Goose - 10
Mallard - 6
Common Goldeneye - 68
Common Merganser - 7
Bald Eagle - 1

And I just realized we didn't count at the Centennial Park (twit!!). I could have added Tundra Swan, Trumpeters and Rock Pigeons -- all seen on the 12th.
