Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

fearghas

I'm jus' here tae make sure Rade made it, he tells himself, but he can hear the half-truth in his own thoughts. As much as he did worry about his golden mentor, Fearghas' concern for his safety was not the pressing matter that had hastened his footsteps toward the Lagoon today.

In truth, he wanted to make them pay.

The fear on Eastwise's face when Chronos had attempted to drive him away coupled with the anger on Ally's as he had bid her farewell for her and Seri's safety still kept him up at night. He couldn't sleep without dreaming of them, and more often than not he had woken in the dark with their names screaming from his lips. Every day that he woke and looked out over the empty Savanna was another day of failure, and the need to rectify it, and to fix something, even if it wasn't his own life drove him from Luthien.

He doesn't know the mare he comes across and has never seen her before in his life. Her milk-white coat gleams beneath the heat of the summer sun, but it's not her beauty that catches his gaze. It's the sorrow that lingers around her, and the pain in her voice when she calls out to the unknown stallion.

Fearghas doesn't have to be a mind-reader to see that she is unhappy here. As she begs for her release, he makes up his mind and lopes in, doing his best to remain quiet over the mucky Lagoon soil. It's strange to be home, on familiar soil, and yet be a stranger and a queer sort of loss steals over his mind for a moment before he refocuses on his goal.

Without waiting for a preamble and knowing that they only have a limited amount of time, he drops his neck to drive her back the way he'd come, hoping that she would start moving by body language alone. It was only a matter of time before this Torsten caught wind of what was happening and tried to stop it, even if no one else stopped in. Charging close, he all but pleads with her as he draws to a momentary stop.

"Lass, I can help, but we need tae get out o'here. I can take ye back ter the Savanna, and then you can choose where tae go from there." He cast a look backward, hunting again for any followers. "I willnae keep ye prisoner, I promise, but we need tae go now."
