The reaction the pulls from the new mother was yet again something he did not expect. He jumps at her sudden outburst. Lorcan had not meant any of them harm, but it seems his presence here was only causing more trouble. He figured he could do something to help, or he could help Solomon, but it was clear the golden mare did not want to see him. Lorcan’s eyes widen with surprise as he watches her own son jump. His body grew tense thinking these mares would chase him away soon, but the golden mare calms.

Her next response is much quieter, but still tense. Her gaze turns to the brown mare at her side and they seem to share a glance between one another. He nods at her words. Lorcan would honor her request just like his father would have liked him to do. As the mares began to whisper back to each other Lorcan took this moment as a sign he should leave. Maybe he could talk to them again when things had settled, but he was only a young boy. Perhaps making friends with their sons would be the better option. The pale colt turns and heads back into the dense jungle to give the mares, and their young, their privacy.
