Dancing with the Devil

I will be your demise and you're going to love it.

Though not much time had passed her presence seemed to be noticed much swifter than she even anticipated. Keeping her focus mostly on the grass the woman watched as the golden and striped boy danced across the clearing. It truly was humorous and perhaps a twinge impressive even if she wouldn’t admit it. It was difficult not to pay closer attention to the stallion's display, but he would need to do a little more to garner her attention. Standing so close and waiting oddly enough was what pestered the mare enough to offer her full attention. Admittedly there was interest in knowing what he desired, it was worth taking a few moments to offer an ear or two to his cause.

Enya offered a slight nod to his greeting not yet willing to speak but curious enough to let him continue in her company. An ear slightly drew back at his comment of being strange but as the golden boy attempted to recover Enya giggled in a delighted fashion. Before he quickly carried on and he certainly had an appealing invitation. A small sense of delight appeared on her features as she turned and moved to circle him almost close enough for her bodice to brush him though her tail swished enough that it might catch him just lightly against his legs. After her orbit she met him once more with space before speaking; “Well, Jaskier, you're not really this best with words I see, but lucky for you I’m not all talk.” It was unknown as to if he would decipher the meaning of her words, but it wasn’t really a concern for the moment. More or less it was to tease him for the fumble.

Shifting her gaze ever so lightly to the south she considered him. “Admittedly, you seem perceptive enough to notice I am new, however, I am not sure you know me well enough to know what I find beauty in. Tell me about your grotto and perhaps I will take you up on that offer.” Her question was genuine and curiosity was abundant though she was certain he truly didn’t understand what he would be getting himself into. Extending her muzzle to him for a brief moment for she wouldn’t wait long for her more personal offer of a brief touch. A small attempt at gaining some semblance of trust, no matter how short-lived it might be. “Enya.” Turning her attention back to the south her curiosity began to grow more rapidly. She wondered if the stallion was really worth her consideration.

It was true, she didn’t technically need a stallion or anyone's company. In truth, she was sure enough in her abilities that she could hold her own in a fight, but the company could be worthwhile if only for her amusement. For the moment she would continue to size her new companion up and see just how bold he was willing to be. She ached just to test the waters just to see how he would react to a bite. Did he have a temper? Did he have the ability to make a difference in a fight? Could he fight her and win? These questions left Enya wanting and the curiosity begged the question. “Perhaps we should dance some time Jaskier, it would impress me more than your prancing.” She lightly teased, it would at least give her some of the information she desired and it would show her what she needed to improve should she fall short.
