Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Speaking English was still a work in progress, but she was picking up things here and there. Being able to speak more words in English would help her greatly in trying to convince Tyr that Grizel needs her mom. As Maeve keeps a brave stance in front of the Shire cross, their daughter reaches under her belly for a rough tug at her teats. Maeve does not correct her though she wishes to. The filly will be upset once she learns she would be saying goodbye to not only nursing, but the only horse she knew in the world. There was no reason a mother and child should be separated. He just responds to her words with a simple ‘no’.

Her large hoof stomps in a quick response to his answer. Tyr goes on to mention how she had kept Grizel from her this whole time. It was true, but it wasn’t like she was in hiding this whole time. They had met that nice colt Riddler, but everyone else seems too rough for their sweet little Grizel to play with. Plus, none of these grown stallions deserved to be near their daughter. Grizel was much too fragile for someone who didn’t understand or didn’t care. Tyr mentions someone named Kiraz and her head shakes. Maeve does not know this mare and no one, but her will be a mother for a child. Even if she must leave Grizel will only know one true mother.

Maeve sighs as Tyr give the ultimatum. She had been won to return home to the Forest, but this stupid place was the only home Grizel knew. “No place for daughter,” she says with eyes narrowing. ”Grizel not normal child.” She sighs as she says this, their daughter now done with her suckling and staring up at her mother. Maeve touches her nose gently to Grizel’s as she stares into her daughter’s eyes. ”One day Grizel you will see my dhachaigh. It will be yours too. One day.” The twinkling eyes of her daughter shines as bright as her smile. The six-month-old filly does not understand what her mother says to her, but one day she would. Maeve turns back to Tyr. ”The Forest is where I belong. It is a dhachaigh much better than Lagoon. Grizel will be back with me soon.” One of her hooves stomps the ground.

”Grizel fragile. Grizel cannot do much without…uh, hard of breath?” She tries to find the right words to make him understand. ”Cannot leave her alone. Cannot leave with other stallions.” Maeve wouldn’t be able to sit steady in the Forest if she knew Tyr wasn’t watching her all the time. If one of these stallions got a hold of her…Grizel just needed to come to the Forest. Unfortunately, Tyr wasn’t about to let that happen.
