John: I think your problem lies in the fact that you attempt to apply logic to a situation dictated by raw emotion. It is not stupidity, but part of a plan. The Left has an agenda, the end result being to have the government rule over every aspect of American life. Call it Socialism, Communism, Fascism, or anything you please, they are in the saddle, they have a weak and pliant president ready to do their bidding--although he is sympathetic to a great part of their program--and they are perishing to get it all done before the opposition finally manages to swing it the other way. The pity of it is, that some--far too many--Republicans, out of pure hatred of Donald Trump, are willing to go along with the Socialist Left. Think Mitt Romney. The rest of us, of necessity, will grit our teeth and grimly hang on until the next election, which we desperately hope will sweep those scoundrels out of office.
