Endora's face warmed at the young colt. Though he was already much larger than her, she could tell that Carbon had been raised gently. She wondered why he was wandering in the Meadows. He comments on her accent and Endora nods briefly. "Sí, you are observant young one. I am not from these Islands. I washed ashore sometime ago. I do not know how much time has passed. At least a Winter or two. I have not found others who traveled with my on the ship I was on." She sighed. She could only presume that the others she had traveled with were gone. Perhaps this was the test of the Gods upon her. She returns her gaze to the colt, her eyes soft, but sad. He speaks of his father with great pride. She can tell that he misses him. She smiles gently. "I am sure your padre is quite proud of you Carbon." The regal mare turns her gaze to the vacant meadow. The frost nips at her, the sun beginning to dip lower in the horizon. "Tell me Carbon, what brings you to the Meadow?" She eyes him curiously. |
