Follow-up to yesterday's comment:
On my visit this morning I met a team of researchers who were about to use a drone to help them count Black Tern nests on the marsh. They had previously counted 16 nests, and were hoping that the drone would help them find more or see the nests more closely. Although they acknowledged that these were relatively low numbers compared to years ago, it seemed that there were more nests than they were able to observe last summer. Important work!
