Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

you hesitated and I don't know why

Mother and son danced through the trees, a familiar act that Hyacinth fondly remembers doing with Jaskier when they were nothing more than leggy and loud foals that had nothing better to do but annoy their mother’s. They were lucky that their dams were so close or else neither of them would have had the other over the years. Oleander darts across her path then as she lands from the jump across a downed log, and by some miracle she manages to avoid plowing him down as she would have to her brother, pulling herself just short of a hair at the blue eyed boy looking up at her from his sitting position he’d plopped down in. The dust she’d distrubed engulfs them in a cloud that leaves her eyes watering and her heaving a sneeze to rid her nostrils of the offending intrusion.

Ollie gives a giggle, not at all looking as guilty as he had before and is quick to find his feet again and take off before his mother could fully recover and bite into his rear.

Hyacinth is all too aware of the game her son wishes to play, continuing along the path he’d laid out for her to follow as he wasn't the sneakiest just yet, and yet as she thinks of this and pushes through some tough brambles for a horse of her size she manages to absolutely loose him and instead finds herself face to face with another mare when breaking free of the hold that thorned branches have on her skin. “Sorry if i startled you,” Hya is pleasant enough speaking to another woman when all she’d seen thus far have been stallion’s around every turn. Hyacinth gives a curious look around, the fringes of the lagoon is where she finds herself and Oleander’s scent seems to have disappeared. She wasn’t too terribly worried but still.

“My son came running this way i think, “ she sighs, looking back to the mare who smelled rather familiar but she couldn’t quite place it given the overwhelming scent from the lagoon wafting their way, “curly ears, blue eyes, white on his face and belly with darker points.” Still she offers up his description as best she can just in case.

Meanwhile Oleander was absolutely thrilled to have finally lost his mother during this chase of his, having never succeeded until now. After he had burrowed his way through the brambles he had taken up sticking to the thicker patches of foliage in the lagoon to keep his mother’s bigger size from bearing down on him, that fact he’d have to remember for later play times.

Yet it is here in what he thought to be his little oasis that Ollie comes across a striped looking horse who appears to be hiding too. The only other horse Ollie had truly been around was of course his mother, so this was truly a treat as she would have chased off the other horse already for even breathing the same air as himself.

“What are you,” Ollie’s voice is soft when addressing the stallion just before him, his white face peeking out of the brush with curious black ear tips brushing each other as they flicker to and fro, still wary of the stranger but eager for a new friend. His blue eyes blink happily up at the striped male, no fear yet in his young heart.
