Though she didn't seek him out after their first encounter, Cain didn't take offense to it. If anything, he relished the sight of her running across the dunes, her mane whipping in the breeze. She looked so alive in those moments, so free, and that was the greatest moments of his life. Just to see her enjoying herself made it all worth it. He didn't know she was coming until it was too late and he tried to duck out of the way but his shoulder collided with hers as she backed off and stared at the ground like it held all the answers. His face fell to see her looking so timid and apologetic, wanting to see her carefree as she had been in the distance over the past few days.

She said his name first and his lips parted on an inhale. He liked hearing her say his name, and yet it was missing something. He brushed it off as she raised her head, finally meeting his eyes. When the next words to come past her lips was an apology, he offered a kind smile and shook his head slowly. She had nothing to be sorry for. He was going to tell her as much, but when her voice trailed off, the stallion held his tongue, giving her time to collect her thoughts, because she seemed to be on the cusp of saying something else. His ears stretched forward at the new look on her face, his lips tugging in the corners as she shook her head and said "no." Interest glittered in his gaze as he watched her. She was already growing before his eyes. It was a sight to see.

She then thanked him and he dipped his head before speaking. "You are most welcome, Chelle. Have you been adapting to the heat and the sun alright?" He tilted his head a little, curious since she was a draft breed and Salem wasn't known to be forgiving to his kind.
