The scent of one stallion faded to nothing while the scent of another came on fresh and strong as he patrolled the borders. Ears flicking forward with interest, the Vanner stallion trotted across the dunes until he made out the sturdy looking stallion who had called out to him. At least this guy was polite and made himself known. Cain approved of the gesture and with soft snort, he made his way toward the other figure. Slowing to a walk, he dipped his head in greeting to the other before stopping. His brown gaze looked over the other stallion. He looked capable and seemed friendly enough. Cain didn't sense any hostility in his demeanor. If anything, he looked like he needed to ask something of him. Curious, the draft stallion tilted his head a little and pricked his ears.

"Greetings, stranger. I'm Cain. What can I do for you?" He gave a gentle swish of his tail as a fly dared to alnd on his flanks, wondering if the stallion before him needed a home. He smelled slightly of a place Cain didn't exactly like, but he wasn't one to judge. The Lagoon had already taken one of his sons from him, but he'd gotten word that Carbon was doing okay for himself so he tried not to worry too much. Meanwhile, there was a look in the stallion's eyes that said he might need a change in his life and who was he to stand in the way of that?
