if you obey all the rules you miss all the fun

Though she had been wandering for what felt like centuries, the stallion found her in little to no time. Raegen wouldn’t complain; it didn’t give her time to doubt she would be found. To worry she would be stuck here forever. But it did make her a little embarrassed that she had been so lost, yet he hadn’t been very far. She follows him without reserve when he says he will take her to water, but she cannot help the snort that escapes her upon his words.

“Then the sands must have already played tricks upon you, stranger, to think that I am anything like a dove.” The mare quips, but a smirk tugs at her lips. The fiery spirit that dwells in her is not cruel, but she cannot help her response. It was almost like he had laid it out for her to say such words. Only the shade of the palms and the water that lays out before her distracts the mare from their words. At his offer, the way he postures that she can go ahead and drink, Raegen moves closer to the muddy edge and lowers her head to gulp at it greedily. Though its not as crisp and cold as she was used too, it was still refreshing.

When she had gotten her fill, the mare raises her head and turns her gaze over to him. “Fiero…..” she repeats, feeling the way his name rolled off her tongue and sounded with her voice. “You can call me Raegen.” the mare offered. “Thank you for coming to find me.” she added, at least showing some manners and appreciation now that she had escaped the sun and gotten a good drink.
